After finishing her studies in Syria she attended the film academy “Cigerxwin” in Amed (Diyarbakir).
Upon returning to Syria she joined Komîna Fîlm were she became the co-head. This year she directed the first ever short film to be shot in Raqqa after its liberation.
Formed as an audiovisual technicien, she gathered experiences by working as a cameraman in many companies in Europe. She came to Rojava in 2015 to participate in the development of the media field. She is currently working on a feature documentary about women’s involvement in the Raqqa front.
Studied politics and international relations in Spain. Throughout the years he has worked as a filmmaker and a social worker in many countries. He came to Rojava in 2017 to take part in the fight against IS (Islamic state) and support the revolution.
Born as a refugee near Mosul, he lived all his life in the refugee camp of Makhkmur, Iraq. There, he participated as director assistant on 2 short films, “Bêbaxtî” about bad-mouthing and “Fedayî” about the sacrifice of fighters. He came to Rojava in 2018 to learn the profession of film director with the aim to teach it in a near future back in Makhkmur.
Born in Kobane. In 2015 he worked for the agence press ANHA as a cameraman and editor. In 2018, he attended a cinema workshop of Komina film.
Since then he became a full time member of Komina Filma Kobane.
